Original OZ LP released in 1980 on RCA Records. Cat: VPL10283. Comes with printed insert which is in Near Mint condition. Picked this up recently knowing nothing about it apart from being an Australian artist release and a lurid cover that intrigued me. There are a few naff tunes but most are solid tracks fusing glam funk disco with elements of soul, pop, rock and dare I say a hint of prog rock… Have listed a few of the tracks on youtube to check out. Look for the band name and the tracks Loaded dice, Sin City, Smart ass & I’m on fire.
These lovely titles are as small part of a recent collection that I will be listing over the next few months. Some extremely rare and wonderful titles amongst them...
Chicks Incorporated were an Australian dance rock band formed in Brisbane in 1977. Their sound was largely derived from American soul, funk, pop, rock and disco. Starting out as an almost all-girl band with guitarist Chris Mitchell being the only male member, they were led by the late drummer Miriam Curtis, who produced their sole album "Security" in 1980. They attracted a lot of local attention due to their sexy appearance and wild dancing. The band's first single was "Jive To Stay Alive" released on RCA Records, and was also featured on a few disco compilation albums such as "Dats Disco" on RCA. Most of the band's material was written by well-respected Brisbane songwriters Laurie Stone and Peter Moscos, as well as keyboard player David Bentley, formerly of Python Lee Jackson and best known for the hit "In A Broken Dream" which was sung by Rod Stewart. The band shortened their name to "Chicks" in 1979, but despite being signed with a major label, they had several problems finding and retaining competent members. This was their only album release.

There are no signs of spindle marks on labels. Record is like new and in Near Mint condition. Cover has light ring wear and is in Excellent condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
