The LP is in Excellent condition with no visible scratching or scuffs and very slight spindle wear only. The pale blue labels are clear and print easily legible with no additional writing or stuck on labels. Labels on both sides have some minor white spots and a couple of grease marks but nothing of great note. For a 1968 original it is almost near mint.
The original outer sleeve has had a small square label at the top left removed but it is not unsightly or torn and the laminate is still present. Overall the sleeve is Excellent but short of Near Mint by my standards. Some minor edge wear but no tears or splits. The front laminate is very well preserved with minor creasing at the edges and only minor ring wear. The back of the sleeve is unlaminated with black and grey photography and excellent white print of credits and track listings. All Blue Horizon labels, pressing numbers, J Day and Co credits etc.. present.
The inner sleeve I have replaced with a quality anti-static inner sleeve but I will enclose the inner sleeve it came with. I will also enclose a plastic cover for the outer sleeve for storage. I send by tracked and signed for postage using a reinforced cardboard case and I separate the LP from other sleeves etc..

Featuring Christine Perfect (better known as the future Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac) the British ensemble Chicken Shack offers up a solid set of blues-influenced rock on their 1968 LP, fully titled '40 Blue Fingers Freshly Packed And Ready To Serve'. This LP was a promising debut, especially noteworthy for Stan Webb's Freddie King-inspired guitar playing and Christine Perfect's vocals. Webb does justice to his mentor with two instrumentals, King's 'San-Ho-Zay' and his own 'Webbed Feet' and Christine proves the ideal counterpart: one of the few pianists paying homage to King's longtime collaborator Sonny Thompson. It remains their finest work; Perfect left the band in 1969 when she married John McVie of Fleetwood Mac. Pianist Paul Raymond, bassist Andy Silvester and drummer Dave Bidwell all left in 1971 to join Savoy Brown. The album - with a nice spare sound, typical of Mike Vernon's Blue Horizon label, is excellent on vinyl and a real classic. Early examples of Blue Horizon LPs like this are collectible and much sought after.
