Description

This is part of a "Leftovers" auction I'm doing. I just didn't have time to list these when I did their label-specific auction.  There are 10-20 records each from Atlantic, Excello, Checker and Chess.  Some absolutely killer stuff there that I can't believe I didn't get to the first time around.

Release: Howlin' Wolf - Forty Four / I'll Be Around

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1954


Notes: Original 1954 release with the blue and silver labels. Early single. One of his more unusual tracks, has some great "jangly" guitar work that you don't usually hear. The B-side is an overlooked by stellar track in his discography.

Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in nice shape, with just a couple of tiny scuffs. Both sides play very well with almost no background noise at all. No pops/ticks/skips, etc. Labels are really clean as well, with just some light scuffing in the silver part.  This is a very nice copy overall.


Look for awesome Gospel auction coming in Mid-November then I'm off for the rest of the year.  Still have some great stuff to sell and will be back at it in January.
