Description

This is part of a big auction of blues and R&B 7" records. There are many King and Chess records here with several "bonus" listings and a handful of rarities. Keep an eye out for a large Specialty Records auction in a couple of weeks then an oddball auction of mainly 60's rock 'n roll, many with picture sleeves.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1952


Notes: Blue label first pressing.  Very tough to find early single for Chess. Two slow moving blues tracks with harmonica backing. Classic Waters sound, absolutely no mistaking who is performing here. 


Sales Note: I previously sold this exact record for ~$900 (you'll likely see that in completed listings). After shipping it was determined that there was a small edge warp that affected play on the buyer's machine. It was returned and subsequently professionally flattened and ultra-sonic cleaned.  The warp has been minimized as much as possible.


Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape with hardly any wear at all, just a couple of tiny pressing bubbles.  Super-clean with no scuffs or scratches. As mentioned, there is the smallest hint of an edge warp.  Doesn't affect play at 2.5g on my Empire machine. I just can't imagine it would be audible past 2-3 rotations if any. Sounds great with no other skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all.  Labels are nice, but do have some light ring scuffing in the silver portion of each side.
