Description

 This is a very rare Charlie Parker with Strings Mercury original pressing deep groove black label 10 inch record. This record was reissued three different times on the 10 inch format and this one is the first and THE original pressing of the three. After researching this acquisition, the orignal pressing is this one MG-35010, it was also resiiued as MGC-101 and MGC-501, this is MG-35010 and depending on which price guide you look at, it is worth as low as $600 or as much as $800 or more depending on condition of course. See pics of label above to verify that this is the original and the most valuable of the three ten inch pressing. Naturally this was also released as a 12 inch many times but here is a chance to own THE original pressing of this classic record. Now for the condition, I will rate this as a VG to VG+, the vinyl is shiny and it does have a few light surface marks, and hints of surface noise when the needle is placed on the record, it gets better as the record goes along, I listened to the record and this is great music and highly collectible.  Buddy Rich, Mitch Miller and Ray Brown are all here with Charlie and Norman Granz is the supervisor and producer. I hope this goes to a fan who loves this music as much as I do. I will answer any questions prior to close of bidding but this is a record that is extremely hard to find and in VG to VG+ condition conservatively graded, but a real collectible.
