AllMusic gives The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady five stars out of five and describes it as "one of the greatest achievements in orchestration by any composer in jazz history." – See http://www.allmusic.com/album/the-black-saint-and-the-sinner-lady-mw0000192238.
The record has been in my collection since I bought it new in the 1960's. It has always been carefully handled and stored.
