Description
This is United Artists Records UAJ 14042, Charlie Mingus Town Hall Concert, a gray saxophone label, original mono issue of this (in)famous concert, with the ear squiggle in the dead wax and featuring a large orchestra including, Clark Terry, Charles McPherson, Eric Dolphy, and Jerome Richardson amongst others. The record is in VG++ condition, showing only light marks and having only light occasional clicks without interfering with the enjoyment of the music. The labels are perfect. The original textured cover and picture/liner note insert, both show a bit of foxing but are otherwise excellent and intact. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this wonderful piece offered without a reserve price. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
