Description
Candid 8005 Orange colored , original label. Deep groove. Leader, Mingus, bass; Eric Dolphy, alto sax, bass clarinet; Ted Curson, trumpet; Dannie Richmond, drums. Introduictory remarks by Mingus. Performed at NOLA's Recording Studio in NYC but Mingus remarks give the feeling of a club date rather than a studio recording. Cover: VG+ or Better 2" scotch tape repair on the spine. A smal amount of edge and corner wear. Old price sticker on the back cover. Minor aging on the back cover. Minor scratch line on the front cover near the bottom of the spine edge. Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. The surface of the record has the original gloss finish with no surface markings. There is a minor amount of static-like noise on parts of Mingus introduction and on the first few revolutions on Track 1, Side 1. There is a shorter intro on Track 1, Side 2 with similar extremely light noise. On both sides the noise quickly disappears. There is a short interval or 2 that have light, static-like noise. Again for a very short duration and barely audible. There is no other surface noise. The record appears to have been played only a few times. The overall quality is excellent. Audibly checked.
