Description

Charles Mingus Presents      Charles Mingus  Candid 8005  Mono  original label

Folk Forms, No. 1, Original Faubus Fables, What Love, All The Things You Could Be Now If Sigmund Freud's Wife Was Your Mother

Charles Mingus (bass) with sidemen: Eric Dolphy, Ted Curson, Dannie Richmond

The record is VG++.  It is bright and glossy and without spindle marks or scratches. There are a few very superficial scuffs and a "storage mark near the end of "What Love" which do not affect the grooves. The grooves do not show heavy wear or graying.  The record might have been played a few times and was well taken care of.  The label is deep groove both sides.

The cover is VG+.  No split seams.  There is light to moderate overall wear which is heavier at the bottom corners. Some spots on back cover which are probably mold,  but are not too unsightly. Cover would be VG++ otherwise.  Still some gloss on front and it looks good.  The back cover has the "119 West 57 Street, New York 19 New York" address.

I grade visually using the Goldmine grading code whixch is M, M-, VG++ (or EX), VG+, VG, G, F, P. The highest grade I use is M- and I rarely use it for 50s and 60s Lps. I spot play any potential problem areas and try to grade conservatively. You will be satisfied and no hassles.
