This is Charles Mingus Records JWS001-002, Charles Mingus - Mingus At Monterey, a black,deep groove label  original issue of this iconic record. This is the original, private, mail-order only issue, with the instructions for ordering printed on the back cover. The records are in near mint condition showing no signs of wear. They play quietly throughout. I am pretty certain that the records had never been played, or played only once, before I play graded them.  The gate-fold cover shows light ring wear and a 4" piece of clear tape on the bottom seam of the back fold but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent and show no spindle marks. Contemporaneous articles and reviews collected by the original owner are included.. This is a superb, collector's grade copy of this classic original issue. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.  Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple orders.
