Cat Stevens Mona Bone Jakon Original U.K. Pink Island ILPS 9118 . 1970. To my mind the best Cat Stevens album as It seemed as If he wanted to prove himself as a serious artist or a more ' underground ' artist after spending the last few years as a ' pop ' star , ( Just listen to the track " pop star " where he almost spits out the lyrics ! ) there are so many killer tracks like the powerful " I think I see the light " and "time " , the sad break up song " maybe you're right " the atmospheric " Katmandu " with some beautiful Flute playing from Peter Gabriel , and the lovely " Lilywhite " with a superb string arrangement by Del Newman . Definitely one of the best and most varied albums released on Island In 1970. other tracks : Lady D'arbanville , trouble , I wish I wish , fill my eyes . Record In Beautiful 'as new ' Mint condition ,sleeve near mint . As with most of the mint / near mint records I am selling at the moment there are no ( or next to no ) spindle marks. this album Is In the same condition as when first bought In 1970.
