Description
This listing is for a vintage vinyl LP of the live album by Cat Stevens called Catnip.
This a hard to find private pressing released in 1972 of a concert from from 5/12/1971 in Chicago, IL.
It was released by the American label White Cover Folks (WCF) with catalog # 727.
WCF (White Cover Folks) was active between 1970 and 1975 when they became the Berkeley label.
This is one of three different WCF versions of this LP. This is the green cover version.
This record comes from the collection of a former record store owner who's owned it since they received it new in the early 1970s.
Since then it's been properly taken care of and was only taken out of storage very recently. Before that it had not been played in over 40+ years.
Record Condition:
Moderate visible surface wear is present in the way of some light paper scuffs and some light hairline scratches.
Clean center labels.
There's also some light dust/dirt and a few finger print smudges, so a thorough cleaning would remove that and probably brighten the sound even more.
Industry Grade: Strong VG.
Jacket Condition:
Moderate signs of light shelf wear present on edges, spine, and corners.
The outer white poster paper just sort of sits over the plain white jacket. I assume it was shrink wrapped with the poster over it originally.
No ring wear is present on the plane white jacket.
The white and green poster paper does show signs of where on the edges as well as some yellowing.
No seam splits or any other major defects.
Inner Sleeve: Generic paper inner sleeve.
Industry Grade: VG.
