A little background: My sister formerly worked at a Tampa Bay radio station, and as part of her employment, received the weekly Casey Kasem American Top 40 boxed record sets. She doesn't use ebay and asked me to sell her entire record collection for her. I'll be listing many more Casey Kasem sets in the future as well as miscellaneous albums from her collection. If you are looking for a specific Casey Kasem date just drop me an e/mail and I can list it for you.

On to the auction - This particular record set contains 3 albums, each in it's own sleeve, and all in a box as pictured. There is also a Watermark sheet that contains all the playing times and songs. My sister told me she never played these records and that the station played them probably just once or twice. I put one of the albums on my own phonograph briefly and it sounded excellent! They are not warped or just barely (sound not affected). The chart date is listed as 2/25/78. The paper sleeves are in very good condition with discoloration evident especially on the sleeve that was sitting against the cardboard all these years. The exterior box is in good shape overall, one of the better boxes I have. It does have age spots and some storage marks accumulated over time, especially on the sides. The top is really in pretty good shape except for two lines drawn across the middle. I think it is pen, not pencil (what you see in picture). If the box is just as important to you as the albums it is best NOT to bid. The Watermark papers are still stapled and in excellent shape. A little musty smelling though. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being MINT and PERFECT I would rate this set as follows:
