Description
Sharp 2002, High Fidelity album. "Authentic Songs by Carolina Slim and His Guitars." Very rare album! Carolina Slim (born Ed Harris) sang homespun, down home rhythmic blues in the tradition of Pine Top Smith, Leadbelly and Muddy Waters. His music has the "quick, vigorous jump of hand-clapping gospel music; the hushed soulfulness of the spiritual; the cry of the morning's first song in the fields; the rough happy blues of the Saturday night fish-fry." All 12 songs on this album are original folk blues ballads composed by Carolina Slim. Published sometime in the 1950s.
The record is in excellent condition. The sleeve is in very good condition: no markings or wear, but there is about a 2" clean split on the bottom edge.
