Up for sale is a very rare London FFSS "blueback" LP featuring a great Italian string quartet that was led by a fabulous female violinist.  It has an early "mother number" (1 on each side) and "stamper" (C on each side).

Date:  Not mentioned on record label.  However, the jacket notes, by Gordon Stewart, were copyrighted by London Records in 1960.
Side 1: Ravel:  String Quartet in F Major 1st Mov.  Allegro moderato  2nd Mov.  Assez vif (Tres rhythme)  3rd Mov.  Tres lent  4th Mov.  Vif et agite Wax matrix marks:  "ZAL-3699-1M"   "1"  and "C"  (Note:  the "1" and the "C" are 180 degrees from each other and both are 90 degrees from the "ZAL-3699-1M")
Side 2:  Prokofiev:  String Quartet No. 2 in F Major, Op. 92 1st Mov.  Allegro sustenuto  2nd Mov.  Adagio  3rd Mov.  Allegro Wa matrix marks:  "ZAL-3700-1M"   "1"  and "C"  (Note:  the "1" and the "C" are 180 degrees from each other and both are 90 degrees from the "ZAL-3700-1M")
Pina Carmirelli (1914 - 1993) studied under Michelangelo Abbado and also at the Milan Conservatory.  She won the Premio Stradivari in 1937 and the Premio Paganini in 1940.  She married cellist Arturo Bonucci (who was the cellist on this LP).  She was tenured professor of advanced studies at Accademia di Santa Cecilia.  The Carmirelli Quartet first played in 1954.
