Classic debut from grind-stars Carcass. It's no secret that this record is either badly engineered or a poor pressing. The sound is muddy and you will need to turn the volume up on your turntable. However, through the murk a wonderful high quality art statement is being crafted and delivered. Possibly one of the most honest and penetrating summations of the human condition ever made. Listen and you will see - the record, for those with an open mind and ears - is curiously affecting. In some ways you could argue that this subterranean garage recording compliments the aesthetic very effectively. Eventually there was a remastered release, I'm not sure how that compares, or whether the original material was essentially beyond repair. I would suggest a bit of thorough googling.
If you want to buy the original pressing in excellent condition, without any jumps scratches, with the original GORGEOUS artwork and double sided inner sleeves also in excellent condition look no further. I'm sorry to part with this, I spent many pleasant evenings poring over the visuals with friends while we listened to this masterpiece. Some lovely memories. It also has the joke catalogue number of MUSH 006 on the record label.
