Description

Full-length LP from John G. Perry titled "Sunset Wading" released by Decca (SKL 5233) in 1976. Original U.K. pressing. Overlooked album from bassist John G. Perry who is best known for a two album stint with Canterbury prog band Caravan ("For Girls Who Grow Plump In The Night" and "Caravan & The New Symphonia"). This excellent solo effort has lots of atmospheric and progressive instrumental sections with minimal vocals. Perry bandmates for this release included Michael Giles on drums, Geoffrey Richardson on flute and viola, Rupert Hine on keyboards, Morris Pert on percussion and a couple of guys from the Italian prog band Nova. There are contributions from other musicians as well. Lovely record from the Canterbury progressive rock scene. Proper insert with photos, lyrics and notes is included.
