Caravan

In the Land of Grey and Pink

UK 1971

Deram SDL-R1

Seminal album from this Canterbury progressive rock band. This is the earliest pressing. Not only does it have Tan coloured labels, it is also shows the original 'large' Deram design. This version has the 'Made in England' text above the Deram logo, rather than below on later versions. The copyright text also runs in the circumference on the white part of the label rather than the coloured part. Matrix numbers are side 1) ZAL-10424.P-1D and side 2) ZAL-10425.P-1D. Included in this auction is a recording taken from the actual vinyl record featured in this listing.

Laminated gatefold cover looks really nice bar very minimal wear. The inside has a small M doodle next to the album title which is visible in the 3rd picture. I would grade as EX.

Vinyl looks and plays superb, there is some light scuff which renders it close to EX. However playback of the record is superb, crystal clear sound throughout. Click the link above to playtest this LP yourself..

Multiple buys will reduce the postal cost: Postal price includes high quality packing materials.

Within UK - Basic £4.50 postage for 1 LP and then an additonal £1.50 for each extra LP. (Insurance £2.50 extra will be applied to auctions finishing with an end price of over £60.00).

Within Europe - Basic £7.50 postage for 1 LP and then an additonal £2.00 for each extra LP. Insurance is £3.00 extra will be applied to auctions finishing with an end price of over £60.00).

Elsewhere - Basic £10.00 postage for 1 LP and then an additonal £3.00 for each extra LP.  Insurance is £5.00 extra will be applied to auctions finishing with an end price of over £60.00).

I will not use Surface Mail due to the risk of loss.

Gradings, returns etc - Vinyl is visually graded as carefully as possible although, as grading is subjectional, I must point out that these are my own personal opinions of the grading, which, I personally, would be happy with as a buyer (and I've been a collector for the past 20 years or so). Therefore, all gradings are approximate. If I've played the album, I'll describe it as best I can in the listing. If you are unhappy with the album and decide you simply cannot keep it, I will offer a full refund when the buyer has returned the item at their cost and the item is recieved in the condition that it left here. No partial refunds will be given.
