After a long break from selling records on Ebay I will be listing several rare and not so rare discs over the next few months. From 1967 comes this beautiful original US stereo pressing of Captain Beefheart's first LP, Safe As Milk. If you have been looking for a true keeper copy of this LP, look no further. Complete with the custom inner sleeve and even harder to find bumper sticker, this package looks like it was made yesterday. Starting with the disc, it retains full gloss and luster without any signs of wear or use. There are no sleeve scuffs, hairlines or marks whatsoever and the LP plays as new. With the exception of one spindle mark on side one, both labels are perfect. The jacket also has a new appearance, it has full gloss without a trace of wear or age discoloration but is not without a couple of minor problems. The upper right corner has some fine wrinkles in it (I have tried to capture them in the photo) which appear to have been caused from the shrink wrap being a little tight, slightly bending over the corner. The bottom seam has a center 1.5 inch split but is not of the unsightly variety. Other than that, the other corners are sharp, the other seams are solid, have no wear and the spine printing perfectly centered. The inner sleeve is nice and crisp without wrinkles or aging, but has a 3 inch center bottom seam split with one side seam center split 1.5 inches. The bumper sticker is mint with the fold from fitting it into the jacket. As I have stated, with the exception of the flaws I have described, this album is a true NM and easily worth my opening bid.
