1966 7" VINYL SINGLE - ADVANCE PROMOTION COPY

EXTREMELY RARE item!!!!
This is a genuine promotional copy from PYE on which Daivd Bowie is listed ON HIS OWN without The Lower Third. Released in January 1966.
There is a legitimate ink stamp on the label which reads "14 JAN".

I bought this copy in the sixties from a neighborhood sale at which there were many vinyl singles as somebody in the street worked at a radio station and was having a clear-out.
CONDITION: GOOD. From my research this seems to be a very difficult area in which to classify quality. All I can do is describe the quality in good faith and you will have to be the judge of it: this single plays well - it has no skips or jumps, but there is a lot of surface noise. It did spend a while of its life out of any protective sleeve and it has been played a fair amount on not very hi-tech equipment. There are quite a few marks on the vinyl itself. The sleeve is currently just a simple paper sleeve, also from the sixties and is torn with some staining! Both sides of this single play without any skips or jumps and the music is fine. Distinctly Bowie even then! Fantastic. I've enjoyed having it in my posession for around the last forty years, but I'm not a major Bowie fan - so it may as well go to somebody now who will appreciate it even more than me.
I don't particularly like auctions with reserve limits on them, but I have put one on here as if it doesn't reach a reasonable price I'd be more than happy to keep it!
