*Because our clients are mostly jazz collectors and connoisseurs, as we are, we made it our policy to only sell vinyl that we grade in VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) condition or better. This record is in our opinion a strong VG+. Plays and looks beautiful.
Record Grade VG+ = No skips, no jumps. Very well maintained. The vinyl is in beautiful condition. The vinyl is stunning with only a few minor scratches on side a that have no effect on the music. Just listened to both sides of the whole album this morning and it plays quiet and smooth, little to no surface noise at all. Amazing condition and quality. Shiny vinyl. Difficult to find this rare vintage record in such great condition. (see pictures)
Jacket Grade VG+ = Shiny, clean, well maintained. No stains. No tape. No writing. Only very minor inor corner dents from regular use.. No seem splits. We bought it new and kept it in platic cover. A very clean jacket for a 56 year old album. One of the nicest covers in our collection. (see pictures)

"Cannonball Adderley Quintet in Chicago" (later released as "Cannonball & Coltrane" in 1964, on Limelight) is an album by jazz saxophonist Cannonball Adderley, his final release on the Mercury label, featuring performances by Adderley with John Coltrane, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers and Jimmy Cobb.
The Penguin Guide to Jazz awarded the album 3 stars asserting, "The session with Coltrane is really the Miles Davis band without Miles and it's a bit of good fun, both hornmen flexing their muscles on the blues and a ballad feature apiece".
With Bill Evans substituting for Wynton Kelly on most tracks, these musicians would record the classic album Kind of Blue (1959), with regular employer Miles Davis, shortly after this session.
