Can The Lost Tapes: Ltd Edition Deluxe LP Boxset.
5 x 180 GM vinyl boxset with 28 page 12" booklet and 24" poster. Features unreleased studio, soundtrack and live material from 1968-1977 (we’re talking vintage Can, man). Recorded on lovely thick vinyl for a high-quality sound.
The records are in mint condition. The sleeves have slight crease marks but this is due to the way they're stacked inside the box (you'll see what I mean from the photos). The booklet is in beautiful condition, the poster is in beautiful condition, and the box they're stored in is in beautiful condition. In fact, the whole set is a beauty to behold. If you’re a fan of Can, you’ll have a field day spinning this set (preferably with the lights off and the curtains drawn).
From the Album Notes.
“When the studio of ever-groundbreaking Krautrock pioneers Can was sold to Germany's Rock n' Pop Museum, the entire space was disassembled and moved, and in the process, reels and reels of poorly marked and seemingly forgotten tapes were found buried amid other detritus in the studio. These tapes held over 30 hours of unreleased music from Can spanning a nine-year period and including work from both vocalists Malcolm Mooney and Damo Suzuki. Edited down to just over three hours, The Lost Tapes still includes an extensive amount of unheard studio, live, and soundtrack work from the band, and at its heights is as revelatory and brilliant as the best material on their well-loved albums.”
Why would someone sell such a glorious collection?
It’s with a heavy heart that I’m parting with this boxset. I’ve been inundated with bills recently and desperately need a cash injection. I’ve only played each LP about three times so they’re in mint condition and play perfectly from start to finish. I own an original copy of Monster Movie and would rather sell this beauty of a boxset than part with one of my favourite LPs of all time. If I ever make a fortune (fingers firmly crossed), I shall certainly be acquiring this boxset again.
