Description

Can - Future Days. (1973) Rare Original 1st UK Pressing (UAS 29505) Vg+/Vg+. This is the first pressing first edition of Can's seminal krautrock release on United Artists in the UK. Matrix No's are UAS 29505 A 1 and UAS 29505 B 1 on the runouts as pictured for side 1. The sleeve only has minor edge and ring wear. Bearing in mind it is 50 years old that's not totally surprising. There are no splits or tears. It is flat and the opening is undamaged. It bears the DA DA 73 Identifier. The inner is original too as pictured. The record is clean with some light lines. It plays very crisply and is a great listening experience with only light audio crackles here and there which you'll notice on the quiter spells but it is not worn and not distorted at all. These old pressings had superb dynamics and that has been preserved. If you are really picky it would maybe grade VG + to VG but bear in mind side 2 is basically as quiet as it can get. VG overall would be far too harsh though. Please note that I am not a dealer and this grading is, in my opinion, an honest and conservative appraisal. The labels are very clean with no marking and minimal spindle lines. As a bit of back history and rationale for selling I got this from a record shop in the corn exchange in Leeds in 1983 (OMG that's 40 years ago !). Didn't really appreciate Can back then but loved the cover. Kept in an old school record box ever since and played less frequently than solar eclipses. Selling now cos it's time to let go and pass on the love. I guess the best thing to do is study the pics if you're interested. Thanks for ploughing through all that.
