CYMBELINE – 1965 – 1971. Guerssen GUESS 152. Spanish release. FACTORY SEALED NEW VINYL RECORD ALBUM. Originally recorded between 1965 and 1971. This edition issued in 2017. Previously unreleased recordings except for both sides of their only single. Comes with a liner note/photo insert written by band member Michael Journath and download card. TRACKS:  Third Image (1966), Mittuppslag (1969), Motala Ström (1968), Flicka (1969), Stolta Vingar (1969), Strax Nedanför Tornen (1971), Sixth Image (1970), Fifth Image (1966), Look At The Stars (1965), Imagination (1966), Ur Asfalt Ropar Rösterna (1968), New York (1970), Mary Anne (1966), Vinden Viskar Mary (1967), and Stolta Vingar II (1971). DESCRIPTION:   Previously unreleased DIY homemade psychedelia, teenbeat and fuzz-psych/prog by this amazing Swedish band, 1965-1971!! Cymbeline was basically two guys, Michael Journath and Anders Weyde, who met in 1965 while they both played in beat bands. They started recording songs at Anders' little home studio with help from some friends and that's how songs like Imagination and Look At The Stars, amazing examples of homemade teen-beat, were born. At the same time, Michael and Anders started recording more experimental stuff, using armchairs and furniture as percussion, sounds from seagulls and birds, an electric cocktail mixer, improvising lyrics—these incredible experiments were recorded as Images, including the killer garage-psych sounding Third Image. As the years passed by, the home studio improved and new songs were recorded in a more psych-prog vein, some of them included here. They also played a few live gigs with some help from other local musicians. In 1970, Ulf Ryberg joined the group and soon after a 45 was released containing his song New York. In 1971, demos for an LP where recorded at Europafilm Studios in Stockholm. Two fantastic songs are included here and the sound is different from the earlier recordings closer to the groups live performances. So, 40 years later, here's the LP that Cymbeline always dreamed of. Includes an insert with photos and liner notes by band member Michael Journath along with a digital download card.

All LPs are removed from their jackets and placed outside of the jacket for shipping. If an album comes sealed (and will be noted as such in the above description), it will be shipped whole unless you request that I open it up to place the disc outside of the jacket for shipping. Both jacket and disc are placed inside of an outer plastic sleeve before packing for shipping. I use professional corrugated record mailers.

NEW LP:  This item is new and unplayed, but was received from a supplier without being shrink wrapped or cellophane wrapped; more common on imports but also many of the smaller independent US labels do not seal their LPs. These items are placed inside of a clear poly outer sleeve upon their receipt by me

LTD EDT:  Limited, as in limited edition. If I know the press run number it will be included in the above description.

MIX:  This sometimes appears in my title line and refers to a group's/artist's music having a mix of styles such a rock track with jazz then followed by a straight rock track followed by a psych rock track, etc., as opposed to a blues album with the album's tracks having predominantly one style.

Request an invoice total on multiple item purchases and I will send an invoice with discounted shipping total. If you pay from the automatically generated invoice with full shipping charges per item I will refund the appropriate discount amount to your account. The service is still available for all International Priority Mail and Global Express (at a much higher postal rate). Ebay is now offering Standard International Shipping Service, this is a joint service between eBay and the USPS to offer tracking for first class package international mail for a small additional fee to the regular shipping prices.
