Until ABC/Paramount issued a good two-record anthology in the late '70s, and then MCA issued the definitive Mayfield/Impressions package in 1992, this was one of the better retrospective sets featuring some early Mayfield material with The Impressions. It still has value, but has been deleted. The Mayfield/Impressions two-disc set on MCA is weighted toward hits, while this one contained some quality album cuts that aren't on either of the later retrospectives. But since it's deleted and currently unscheduled for reissue, you're out of luck, other than on the collector's circuit.

(a)          THE ALBUM IS STILL FACTORY SEALED AND IS BELIEVED TO BE PERFECTLY MINT. Please note: sealed items are assumed to be mint and are sold as-is, as we have no way of inspecting them. For our policy on still sealed records ►click here (PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING A BID).

(b)          The records are believed to come in their original stock inner sleeves.

(c)             The records are  apparently pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER

COVER IS NEAR MINT, STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP  (THE SHRINK WRAP HAS SEPARATED ALONG ABOUT 60% OF THE TOP SEAM, BUT THE ALBUM IS STILL VISIBLY SEALED)    (A  PIECE OF SHRINK WRAP IS MISSING)

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover shows some light yellowing on both sides, apparently from aging.

-         Back cover has a few yellowish dust speckles scattered here and there (these tiny spots are not overly obtrusive or distracting and should be fully cleanable after the shrink wrap has been removed)

-         Cover has some light ring wear in one small area not covered by the shrink wrap (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 1.

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No wrinkles or creases

-        No writing

-        No stamps

-        No tearing: no chips, dents or nicks on the seams

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels

-        No water damage

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or  cuts.
