CONDITION :
To trace the real roots of Cuban music, you must go to the various cults on the island, which have direct lineage to their African ancestors, and still practice some of their ancient music forms. This 78rpm set (3 records) is from 1949, and features many field recordings from Cuba, before the western influences erased their primitive roots. This set is made up of performances recorded by Harold Courlander, who was in Cuba in 1940.
How about that killer David Stone Martin jacket on this too, in COLOR !
