CANSEI DE SER SEXY (2005)
CANSEI DE SER SEXY

An icon of music, fashion and attitude, CSS were a whirlwind that burst beyond the Brazilian scene and took the world by storm. The group – made up of Lovefoxxx, Ana Rezende, Luiza Sá, Carolina Parra, Iracema Trevisan, Adriano Cintra and Clara Ribeiro – made history.

With a pop aesthetic and a punk attitude, the band blended rock with electronic music, mixing guitar riffs with beats and synthesisers. Hits such as “Music Is My Hot Hot Sex”, “Superafim” and “Alala” left their mark on music history with irreverent, humorous lyrics that switched effortlessly between English and Portuguese.

“Our music was always very young, and today it feels younger than we are,” Lovefoxxx said in an interview with Noizemagazine in 2013. Formed in 2003, the band’s success has spanned decades, winning over a new generation of music fans and becoming a hit on TikTok.
