Offered here is an exceptionally clean NM‑ copy of The Crystals – “(Let’s Dance) The Screw” Pt.1 / Pt.2 on Philles 111, featuring the scarce DARKER sky‑blue glossy label variant. This is one of the most unusual and low‑pressing Phil Spector releases, created during the well‑known Spector/Sill business fallout of 1963. Only a tiny number were pressed, and Spector reportedly used whatever label stock was on hand., so they say.
This darker sky‑blue glossy label is one of the rarest variants — far less common than the yellow stock copies and not related to the later light‑blue unofficial issue. The correct machine‑stamped deadwax (PTCY‑11 12‑1) confirms this as an authentic early pressing.
