Description

CRYSTALS "Let's Dance The Screw"  Wrote by and "Special" voice overs from Phil Spector.  Rare unreleasable record put out by Phil Spector to break ties with Les Sill, with whom he started Philles Records. According to legend, Sill wanted the royalties to the next Crystals record in order to release the label to business partner Phil Spector. Spector made this song, drenched in innuendo, uninspired solos, bored Spector voice overs but fine harmony vocals from the Crystals and pressed up a few copies. Part 1 is a mid-tempo shuffle/mercy beat hybrid while part 2 is slower, like a Jimmy Reed Chicago style loping shuffle. No royalties for Les but a contract met. The music biz :)))  A real piece of rock history and a must for serious collectors. Originals of this record have a white label and few exist.
