"Birth Of A Playboy" was issued twice as by The Chosen Few on the Maple and Canyon labels, but its VERY FIRST LOCAL RELEASE was on the tiny and obscure Lee John label out of New York. It is without a doubt the rarest release for this great northern soul dancer and as a bonus, the storming uptempo b-side "Love Of My Girl" (an old Wigan Casino play) can only be found on the Lee John release and NOT on the Maple/Canyon releases.
