Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYL   MINT-    INCREDIBLE  CONDITION

As you can see, this vinyl is the  RARER TRANSITION PRESS  PRESSING With the 2nd edition labels-

The A-SIDE features the original 'plum label' matrix number along with the K50001 matrix.. this was soon stopped as the Green label took over. Similar to certain Led Zeppelin albums from the same period too..

Stored from new this LP remains in pristine  condition. Played just  a few times at best

THIS REALLY IS A STUNNING PLAY COPY

This pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The vinyl gleams in stunning fashion!

There are a few light whisp lines, and a couple of little hairlines that do not sound -and thats it-  nothing else!  Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid out the vinyl.

WE SEE ONE TINY SPIDER LINE AROUND THE SPINDLE

IT REMAINS IN SUPERB PLAY CONDITION. There is some dust on the vinyl where it has stood for so long untouched!

On playing through we heard nothing in the dead grooves bar the tiniest of static pop in the dead grooves.....If at all!

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

UK issued earliest 'HEAVY' ELEPHANT HIDE TEXTURED FINISH,  WITH THE GOLD FOIL LETTERING, AND THE ORIGINAL 'STUCK ON' PHOTO GATEFOLD sleeve  -with the square spine 

LATER SLEEVES WERE LIGHTER TEXTURED, AND THE PHOTO WAS PART OF THE ACTUAL SLEEVE.

The edges are all super clean with barely a hint of any traces of rub on the edges , and all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition

THE INKS ARE MAGNIFICENT..

No powdery white ringwear - & the lightest ring press on the back, and all edges are super crisp.

Just a couple of tiny 'PINCH' spider lines over the edge of the spine and seam edges.

ONE LIGHT INDENTATION ON THE PHOTO, WHICH HAS CREATED A LIGHT WHITE MARK.

The spine edge is totally unmarked with no wear, or damage.

AND....the open out of the gatefold is superb.

We cannot add any more than this! ITS A BEAUTY!
