Description
This is an excellent close to near mint pressing of the MFSL issue of album by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Deja Vu, Catalogue Number MFSL1-088, issued in 1983 by MFSL. This LP is pressed at half speed in Japan by JVC (Japan Victor Company) on virgin vinyl. (Vinyl is translucent with light passing through). This LP features some of the bands most iconic work recorded at the highest quality. This Lp has a near mint book value of $200.
As to grading I grade very conservatively following Goldmine Record grading standard. Except that for records that are a notch below near mint, rather than VG++, I prefer use of grade of Excellent. I do not use VG++ grade in addition to Excellent grade as is done by some.
The LP itself is in excellent condition, which would have been graded near mint but for shadows on Side 2. The LP play is exceptional. Note that the LP was tested several weeks prior to listing and cleaned by hand and not machine. It should be cleaned again before play. The cover is in very good minus condition. All corners of cover show very slight wear, and there is a crease visible at the bottom spine corner. The top seam as well as the spine are strong, although there is very slight spotting and loss of color in places visible, but no splits. The bottom seam is split completely across and is taped in few spots.The front and back covers are very clean with sharp graphics on front cover. The original issued cardboard protector is included and a plastic lined inner record sleeve is also included, although not the original MFSL version..
The LP is being sold without reserve and payment is expected within 3 days of auction close. Return of the LP will only be accepted if the same LP sold and shipped is returned in the same condition .Buyers that behave in a less than ethical manner will be reported and blocked from participation in future auctions. The LP will be separated from the cover when shipped to prevent seam splitting.
