Description


This is a very rare copy of CRIME's second 45 (from the year 1977). The picture sleeve is SIGNED on the lower-right front by singer and guitarist JOHNNY STRIKE ("F**k Off   Johnny Strike"). The songs are "Murder By Guitar" (written by Johnny Strike) and "Frustration." Nice-looking sleeve (check out the photos to see any flaws). 


"The white labels are clean with some spindle marks. (See photos.) The vinyl has some light scuffs and a dish warp that does not affect play. 'Murder By Guitar' has a few light crackles at the beginning but, otherwise, both sides play clean and are graded VG++."  (Vinyl grading provided by eBay vendor Oud13 of the Arbor Buggy Music store.)


Provenance: I received this 45 record in 2004 directly from Johnny Strike of CRIME in exchange for some editing work I did on his fiction writing. (Strike authored several books, in addition to playing in CRIME.) This is your chance to own a piece of San Francisco punk rock history. CRIME was a legendary, first-generation punk rock band--one of the first West Coast punk bands to record music. And "Murder By Guitar / Frustration" is the rarest 45 by CRIME (not their first single).
