Per Wikipedia, Creedence Clearwater Revival, commonly abbreviated as CCR or simply Creedence, was an American rock band formed in El Cerrito, California, in 1959. The band consisted of lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter John Fogerty; his brother, rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty; bassist Stu Cook; and drummer Doug Clifford. The band's most prolific and successful period, between 1969 and 1971, produced 14 consecutive top-10 singles (many of which were double A-sides) and five consecutive top-10 albums in the United States, two of which—Green River (1969) and Cosmo's Factory (1970)—topped the Billboard 200 chart. The band performed at the 1969 Woodstock festival in upstate New York and was the first major act signed to appear there. CCR's music remains popular and is a staple of U.S. classic rock radio airplay. The compilation album Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits, originally released in 1976, is still on the Billboard 200 and reached the 750-week mark in June 2025. It has been certified 12-times platinum by the RIAA for at least 12 million copies sold in the U.S. This particular recording is a 1976 release on the Fantasy Record label and was manufactured at Columbia Record's Terre Haute pressing facility. The album consists of 20 tracks on 2 LP's with a 67+ minute run time. The covers of this gatefold album are in VG+ condition with only very mild wear on the corners. There are no split seams, bent corners or other markings on the front, back and interior covers of the gatefold album. The plain paper inner sleeves are original and intact. The records have been cleaned and tested using Audacity. All tracks are free of skips and there is very little background noise. The sound is strong and clear. The vinyl surfaces show few signs of wear and there are no obvious defects, such as scratches or scuffs to interfere with the music. All labels are clean and intact. Application of the Goldmine standards for grading records, this set of recordings would rate VG+/EX and are of "audiophile" quality.
