Description

From my own personal collection I am pleased to offer an exceptional Mint- example of the second studio album by CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL titled ‘BAYOU COUNTRY’, Catalogue Number LBS 83261. This is an original 1969 UK STEREO 1st PRESSING on the BLUE LIBERTY RECORDS LABEL with a stunning 1st issue fully-laminated MacNeill Press sleeve. [The matrix numbers are the earliest A//1, B//1].

The fully-laminated single sleeve, printed and made by MacNeill Press Ltd., London, is in EX+/MINT- condition with barely any signs of wear at all. Apart from a little laminate lift near the spine and a small crease to the back top left corner – it’s pretty much as it left the printers.

The top quality Liberty record is solidly pressed and sits flat and true on the turntable. Visually both sides are in EX+ condition with only a few very light sleeve-removal type surface marks evident under bright light. These are only cosmetic of no audio significance whatsoever. The blue Liberty labels are unmarked with only a few faint spindle traces near the centres. I have owned this record from new and can confirm that it has only been played a few times using a quality cartridge and a light tracking weight.

PLAYGRADE ASSESSMENT:

This is a top quality Liberty 1st pressing which plays with outstanding sound quality. Both sides play essentially as new. There is no discernable deterioration in sound quality and barely any unwanted noise at all. Lead-in and linking grooves play with near silence. If you are looking for that elusive perfect playing copy – look no further!

Complete with the original white poly-lined inner sleeve which is also in EX+ condition.

GRADINGS

The records that I offer for sale have been critically play-graded, at loud volume, on a Rega Planar 3 turntable fitted with an Elys 2 cartridge. I will only sell records that play to a high standard. My gradings are strict and in accordance with the following descriptions:

·         MINT- Record is superb, almost like new, with just a few sleeve removal type surface marks and no deterioration in sound quality. Sleeve is near perfect in all respects.

·         EX Record is a top quality example, with just a few very light surface marks which do not sound, and barely any discernable deterioration in sound quality. Sleeve has slight wear and/or creasing.

·         VG Record has some visual surface marks, but still plays to a high standard without any major deterioration in sound quality – just a few clicks or light surface sound in places. Sleeve has normal wear and tear without any major defects. Still a very presentable sleeve.

PACKAGING

Records are sent out in new “Wrapro” record mailers. These are rectangular and strong, providing excellent protection to the edges and corners. Records are removed from both inner and outer sleeves in order to prevent seam-splits in transit.
