Mega Rare Original 1967 UK Mono 1st Pressing 'Disraeli Gears' by Cream! Thick & Chunky Vinyl on 1st Press Blue Textured Reaction Labels with Earliest Possible 1st Press A1//B1 Matrix! Complete with **True** 1st Press **Fully Laminated** E. J. Day Patent Pending Sleeve!!! Stunning Visual and Aural Condition Throughout & Complete with Original Patent & Made in England Windowed Inner Sleeve! You Will Never See This Rare LP in Better Condition!!!

People are always asking me if I have a 1967 UK Mono 1st pressing of Disraeli Gears that plays through without any of the constant crackles/hissing that is synonymous with this UK 1st pressing. Well this as promised to all those who enquired is that record. Please see below...

From my own pristine Nr Mint collection of rare 1960's & 70's Prog/Psych/Rock & Folk, you are bidding on a beautiful ORIGINAL 1967 Earliest Possible (A1//B1) UK Mono 1st Pressing of Disraeli Gears by Cream!!! It is one of the best examples of this very rare UK Mono 1st pressing I have seen in a very long time  - it simply never shows up like this!!! Copies of this rare record are notorious for turning up full of scratches, the aforementioned constant crackle very poor sleeves. This one has none of those issues; it is in superb condition. Further, 99.9% of copies of this record you see will have an un-laminated back side of the sleeve, these are all later pressings! No matter what anybody tells you, it is only the very first 1967 UK Mono pressing that had both sides laminated! This is the true earliest possible Original 1967 UK Mono 1st PRESSING. There are a number of features that mark this from all later pressings. Aside from the Mono Reaction labels having the 'textured' finish and double ridge around the centre hole (all later pressings had a single ridge), it is also important note the rare mis-credits to BOTH SIDES of the labels -these were almost instantly corrected. The A side label has the Mega Rare 'Windfall Music' mis-credit, this was changed on ALL subsequent pressings to 'Immediate Music'. What's more this also has the ultra rare Side B 'Apple Publishing' mis-credit. This was also changed on ALL later pressings to 'Copyright Control. I tell you all this so you know you are getting the earliest possible UK Mono 1st pressing of this legendary album. Of course it goes without saying that this record has the earliest 1st press A1//B1 Matrix, and is complete with its original 1st press E. J. Day Patent Pending sleeve with BOTH sides laminated (and the white Reaction logo in the bottom left corner [all later sleeves had this in black])! The same goes for the track listing on the right hand side of the eye. On this, the text is printed in white , however on all later pressings it is in black. However, and here's the kicker - this rare record is in absolutely superb condition throughout (see below for a full description) - You will not see this rare record again (especially in this kind of condition) so don't miss it!

The contrast of the loud raw mono mix coupled with virtual silence between tracks (virtually no crackling at all - and certainly none of the 'constant crackle' usually associated with this record) is truly breathtaking and SO rare for this record. Normally, when you hear the 1967 UK Mono 1st pressing of Disraeli Gears it is usually with deafening crackle all the way through, which makes for an unpleasant listen. This is such a shame as this is an absolutely awesome album that had a vastly superior 1st press mono mix (a million times better than the stereo and all later re-pressings/re-issues). However, in this pressing you have that rarest of things; a true UK Mono 1st press copy of Disraeli gears that plays fantastically; pure loud and raw analogue mono straight from the master press (the bluesy guitars sound fat, loud and very punchy; you can almost see those tube amps glowing!). There is occasional crackle but it is very, very light and firmly in the background where it belongs and does not interfere with the playing of this amazing album. This is how Disraeli Gears should have sounded back in the 1960's from new!!! Anyone who says crackle is unavoidable on this record is wrong, it is not, and this record is proof. It has obviously never seen one of the horrible blunt mono needles of the 1960's that used to tear through the grooves on the old 60's LP's destroying the imprint and forever leaving horrible crackle and visible dull groove-wear. This record has surely been played a hand full of times ever. Due to the commercial appeal of Disraeli Gears, ALL UK Mono 1st press copies that turn up today have been played to death, with surface marks and lots of crackle, pops and skips. To find a true chunky -A1//B1 1st pressing is hard enough, believe me. But to find one that plays like this throughout is impossible. This is an absolutely essential record for any high-grade Psych collection and definitely worth pushing the boat out for.

The classic 1st press blue textured Mono Reaction centre Labels are in stunning condition with NO Tears, NO Peeling, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind. Like I said above, this is my own keepers copy. As described above - the vinyl itself is in Stunning visual and aural condition!!! Side 1 is in stone-cold Near Mint condition. It has NO Hairlines No Paper-lines, NO Scratches, No Scuffing, NO Groovewear, NO warping, NO blemishes of any kind - not even paper-lines!!! Side 2 would also be Near Mint save for 2 or 3 tiny (non sounding) hairlines, for this I have erred on the side of caution and given an Ex+ visual grading to the whole record. Please note this is a very conservative grading (most on eBay would grade as Near Mint) and whoever wins this will be delighted! It is one of the best I have seen in the last 10 years!!!

The classic **true** 1st press fully laminated E. J. Day 'Patent Pending' sleeve is also in absolutely beautiful condition with NO nasty Tears/Scribbles/Repairs etc. and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!!  It is completely blemish free!!! As we all know, Disraeli Gears features some of the most influential and important psychedelic artwork of the period, however I really cannot emphasise how beautiful this sleeve looks up close when presented in this condition and as a true thickly-laminated 1st pressing - it is stunning and really makes you appreciate what an important piece of authentic and **Original** modern pop-art you are holding in your hands! Along with the disc, it is THE best example of this sleeve I have seen in a very long time! The thick laminate is absolutely breathtaking and has NONE of the dullness and scuffing you usually see with this sleeve! In fact, the laminate is so pristine it almost looks 'wet' in appearance and has remained crystal clear allowing the colours of amazing psychedelic artwork to retain all of their vibrancy! The sleeve lies perfectly FLAT with NO RING WEAR and NO faults at all save for the lightest touches or corner wear and 3 tiny oxbow type laminate creases on the front. There is also some slightly heavier corner wear in the bottom right-hand corner. Other than that this sleeve is superb.  This very rare *true* fully laminated 1st press sleeve easily grades as Excellent+, super rare for this fragile sleeve! Of course, the LP comes with its original correct 1st press windowed inner sleeve with 'Made in England' and 'Patent No'. text and is in crisp, clean and un-blemished Near Mint condition!!! This will be safely tucked away inside the jacket and the disc will be housed in a replacement poly-lined inner to protect both disc and original inner sleeve during transit.

Please check out our feedback and bid with confidence as this is a no reserve auction with a very low starting price!  UK 1st press copies of this record in such stunning condition are in very high demand today. If you have never heard it, you will not find another copy that looks or plays more pristinely than this - it will blow you away!!! If you are a collector/investor, the price of this record will just rise and rise. An absolutely essential (and very rare) record to own! Don't let it get away because once it's gone it's gone! Good Luck!

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards.  If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...

Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.

We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
