PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BUYING THIS!!!!
YOU ARE BUYING THE COVER ONLY BUT I WILL SHIP THE DAMAGED VINYL LP WITH IT
VINYL was pulled from a well kept collection, but for some reason this one had a NASTY edge warp. I have a Vinyl Flat that I am very confident using after several years, and tried to tackle it. After a couple of normal sessions the edge warp was not playable so I geared it up, knowing darn well it could damage the playing surface. It did damage the playing surface, and the warp is still heavy. I would say the 2nd half of each side should be listenable depending on how nimble your tonearm is.....it still has a bit of shimmy due to the wave being flattened out. On my Denon DP 75 it is able to handle it for the 2nd half. When I say the he surface did take a hit...it has a "melted" look to it....the parts that are playable plays VG+. If you are industrious with a Vinyl Flat or have another technique you might be able to get more out of it than I did, but I would not count on it. I know in the UK there are some vinyl restoration services that might be able to get the whole album to play, but I am selling this as the COVER ONLY
ULTRASONIC CLEANED -- I just cleaned it on my new Ultrasonic Record cleaner, and put it in a fresh sleeve. It really does make a difference in the sound quality....it gets rid of stuff other methods just can't tackle....I am hooked! Ready to enjoy for years to come.
COVER is VG+....solid seams and spine....some minor staining to the back side....A nice upgrade if you have a very good lp and a rough cover for this rare free jazz lp......see photos
