Description
Count Five, from San Jose, CA, appropriated the psychedelic guitar sounds of the Yardbirds and had a hit record with "Psychotic Reaction", one of the best garage psych tunes of the 60's. This is the only album they ever released.
This record is from my own collection. Cover is VG-VG+. Some ring marks on front may be seen in photo. Spine is in great condition as seen in storage--no splits or tears and all printing is centered and clean. There is an area at top (above word 'STEREO" where blue color is missing and cardboard color is seen the first 1/4". With original plain white jacket, which shows some yellowing. Again--this is not a re-release but an original lp purchased shortly after its release in 1966.
The record was play-tested today (with a quality, light stylus). There are a few visible marks (light scuffs, fingernail-type lines) on each side. However, NO ticks or pops or other surface noise were apparent. The record sounds amazingly good in fact. I will guarantee that the sound quality is quite good. This is NOT to address the actual quality of the recording itself, which is rather brittle and midrange-dominant, but this is befitting the garage-rock nature of the music.
