CORTEX Troupeau Bleu French Funk Fusion Holy Grail
PS : VG+++, in real great and close to mint condition. A discreet brown spot (some trace of glue?) will have to be cleaned on the upper left corner of the back cover.
RECORD : Side A : VG+++ Never been played but shows some micro stripes due to storage / Side B : never been played too but, unfortunately, shows more important surface marks on third and fourth songs ( "Huit Octobre 1971" and "Sabbat 1ere partie" ) creating background noises while these 2 songs are played. The rest of this side 2 is in VG+++ condition.
The global state of this ultra rare LP ( less than 7500 copies were sold...blame your parents!) is really close to MINT (except for those bad stripes on side B)...don't miss it !

Mega rare and sought after original french pressing on DISQUES ESPERANCE (FRANCE) in1975. Ref : ESP 155524
Alain Mion, composer, arranger and master of keyboards has been combined swing and energy for 30 years.
In 1966, at the age of 19, he performed at the legendary Blue Note. His fellow musicians included Hank Mobley, Hal Singer, Richard Raux, and Philly Joe Jones.
In 1974, Mion formed CORTEX. First LP (and definitively the best one) ”Troupeau bleu” was recorded in july 75. It is a real musical U.F.O, an unclassifiable record, a mixing of thousand flavours, one of the toughest, tightest fusion-funk sessions ever laid down on wax. The instrumentation is stunning from start to finish and finds the perfect complement in the breath-taking vocal talents of Mireille Dalbray
