THE COMMON PEOPLE – ‘Of the People/By the People/For the People/From the Common People’. This is the original US first press GREEN Capitol label release, viewed by many as a classic psych LP, (and the best on Capitol together with Gandalf, Euphoria and Food.!) Highly regarded in the superb Acid Archives book, this LP deserves the adulation it has received over the years. Several of the cuts feature a full string orchestration that works well to lift you up and fly you away. This LP is becoming difficult to find and this copy is in superb condition. CONDITION:
A note on grading I use the Record Collector grading system with the addition of a (+) or a (-) to denote a slight increase or decrease in condition. Items described with an aural grade have been carefully played on a Thorens TD-124 MKII with an SME 3012 Tonearm and Ortofon SPU moving Coil Cartridge.

Record:
The deeply seductive full glossy sheen of the surfaces feature a full lustre under direct angled light. The disk is flat with no warp or buckle of any kind. The wonderful Capitol labels show no signs of use to the spindle hole. There is no writing, rips, stickers or other detractors. The audio quality of this pressing is superb. Overall grade both visually and aurally = NM (Near Mint ) …Please take the time to study the images above and listen to the sound clips which I hope illustrate the condition of this record far better than wordy descriptions
Cover:
The unlaminated pasted back sleeve cover has retained it’s original colour, the edges are straight and the corners are true. The spine is fully legible and the opening edge is sharp. There is a deletion BB hole top right. The pasted back cover still retains it’s original whiteness. No, writing, stickers, rips, feathering, foxing or tears. Overall Grade = EX+ (Excellent+ Due to BB hole) Please take the time to study the images above for a clear view of condition
