Background on this eBay item -

The UK pressed Columbia series of stereo recordings are all very difficult to find. First pressings with record labels that sport the famous turquoise/blue with the silver rim are as rare as hen's teeth for most of the titles, but this one is particularly rare. A record that is seldom seen and heard - but what a record!

CONDITION Details:

The JACKET is in NEAR Mint minus condition. The jacket is completely intact, with NO SEAM SPLITS. The jacket has the flipped back, clam shell seams at the top, bottom and spine and is coated with clarifoil. The jacket does show some very mild shelf wear - primarily at the corners and seams. The colours are crisp and gorgeous, the jacket is very clean. See picture with this listing for more detail.

The LP is in Near Mint Minus condition! The vinyl has some very light superficial spider marks - these are caused by sliding the LP in and out of the record sleeve. The LP retains much of it's original glossy sheen - spectacular condition and sound. It is a lovely slab of super rare collectors grade vinyl - in remarkable condition given that the record is about 50 years old. When playgraded on our audio system, the record performed very well, with only some light, sporadic noise that did not detract from the performance in any way - remember, we are talking about very old, vintage vinyl here and we highly recommend CLEANING the LP before playing.A Short Note About LP GRADING -
  • Mint = Only used for sealed items.
  • Near Mint = Virtually flawless in every way.
  • Near Mint Minus = Item has some minor imperfections, some audible.
  • Excellent = Item obviously played and enjoyed with some noise.
  • Very Good Plus = Many more imperfections which are noticeable and obtrusive.

Please understand that this is a very old record - as such, one cannot expect the record to sound like a brand new, audiophile pressing! Some noise is inevitable - for best results, always properly clean your LPs before playing them.

The LP is an audiophile quality pressing (any collector of fine MFSL, half speeds, direct to discs, Japanese/UK pressings etc., can attest to the difference a quality pressing can make to an audio system).
