COLUMBIA SAX 2252 "B/S" BEETHOVEN "EMPEROR",  EMIL GILELS, PHILHARMONIA, L.LUDWIG
A VERY COLLECTABLE AND RARE RECORD. (THIS IS THE FIRST STEREO  RECORD TO BE RELEASED ON THE (EMI) COLUMBIA LABEL)   IMPORTANT NOTICE THIS IS AN ORIGINAL and VERY EARLY 1959 pressing with the "Blue and Silver" label. NOT a later pressing with the same labels which were used up to July 1964!. 1.Tax Code E T & W T embossed on Side one around the spindle hole, that means it was pressed in 1959 when this code was in use. 2. ALSO it has GROOVED labels that all EMI records had up to the end of 1950's. [All this and more valuable information can be found in my book which is also on auction: ORIGINAL CLASSICAL LP LABELS & PRESSINGS, VOL. 1, THE EMI YEARS]
CONDITION Jacket Ex ++/NM- (Please see photos) Vinyl: NO MARKS, VERY CLEAN COPY. Side One plays Mint. Side Two Track one: audible crackles for ten seconds, otherwise N/Mint.   All my records are professionally cleaned with the VPI 17F washing/drying machine. All records are graded after being played from beginning to end. My sound reproduction system is very revealing. When you buy a record from me you are always sure about what you buy Please bid with confidence.
