COLUMBIA CL 897 - THE JAZZ MESSENGERS. Original US Mono first pressing from 1956 W/ six-eye deep groove Columbia labels "The Jazz Messengers" written on 3 lines on labels; Columbia advertisement on back cover reads "matchless popular vocalists in unforgettable performances"
Personnel Include: Hank Mobley, Tenor Sax.; Don Byrd, Trumpet; Horace Silver, Piano; Doug Watkins, Bass; Art Blakey, Drums.
Recorded April 6 & May 4, 1956 at Columbia 30th Street Studio, New York City.
