Hi, my name is Brian and I have been collecting vinyl for many years. My main interest has been PROGRESSIVE especially the VERTIGO SWIRL/SPIRAL LABEL, reputed to be the most collectable label in the world?

I have finally finished my SWIRL collection of over 160 albums of which most are UK pressings, and now I am going to SELL them ( I must be mad ). I have been quite fussy about the QUALITY, CONDITION and they must be the VERY FIRST PRESSINGS. The latter has been the hardest to decipher and has had me buying and selling many copies of the same album to achieve this,and I almost have with these collectable gems.

I am not and have never been a 'dealer' by profession, but I have always given honest descriptions and lots of clear photo's of any items I have sold. I do know how disappointing it is when you open that package and the item has been over sold with expressions such as "AWSOME" etc when the item is only in EX- condition or worse. If you are in anyway disappointed with an item from me you are most welcome to return it with a FULL REFUND, providing it is an honest and just mistake by myself as I believe in my descriptions.

For sale here is COLOSSEUM--DAUGHTER OF TIME-- UK ORIGINAL VERY FIRST PRESSING WITH VERY FIRST PRESSING SLEEVE,1970, stereo 6360 017 The 23rd of 87 UK pressings on this label. THE REST WILL FOLLOW!

SLEEVE.....GATEFOLD, and UN-LAMINATED. This sleeve is in GREAT condition. It is a GENUINE VERY FIRST PRESSING. This is an OUTSTANDING copy of this sleeve. It is very flat and square. The colours are very strong and vibrant LIKE NEW. The edges are EX+ as is the spine. The front is EX+ with almost NO RUBBING TO THE SURFACE, NO UNWANTED WRITING, NO STICKER TEARS, NO STICKERS  AND NO STAINING, there is a small area of surface rub just above the 'ss' of colosseum(see the pictures below) but it is very small and hardly noticable, the flash of the camera has made this wear look a lot worse than it really is. The rear  is in almost the same wonderful condition just a small amount of light rubbing to the surface, shown as ring wear that has NOT worn through the surface .The opening edges have NO FEATHERING and are AS NEW. The spine is FULLY legible and bright . The inside gatefold is in fantastic condition and looks  almost MINT just 1 crease (top right). The only other sign of wear ( and it is  extremely minimal) is to the very tips of the corners. This album comes with AN ORIGINAL VERY FIRST PRESSING SWIRL INNER SLEEVE in fantastic condition . All in all this is in wonderful condition for a 36year old sleeve.

SOME SAID IT DID NOT EXIST! BUT HERE IT IS!....

LABELS......THIS IS THE EXTREMELY RARE VERY FIRST LABEL DESIGN THAT WAS ONLY ON A SMALL AMOUNT OF THE VERY FIRST PRESSINGS OF THIS ALBUM. THE A-SIDE HAS THE FULL 'SWIRL' COVERING ALL OF THE LABEL AND THE B-SIDE HAS THE LARGER SWIRL ABOVE THE SPINDLE HOLE WITH THE WORD 'VERTIGO' AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LABEL. BOTH SIDES OF THIS VERY RARE ALBUMS LABELS ARE IN MINT CONDITION, WITH NO SPINDLE MARKS!!!  "STUNNING"

VINYL....Both sides of this fantastic album still have their JUST PRESSED deep black shine. As for surface marks, when you hold this album in the very brightest of lights you can see only one or two of the very lightest surface marks and I mean only one or two. In normal daylight this album is PRISTINE. Both sides play WITHOUT SCRATCHES, CLICKS,CRACKLES, OR JUMPS. I have played this album on my very sensitive and revealing LINN SONDEK and the sound is UN-WORN, it is full and crisp there is NO loss of sound quality at all, wonderful sound stage and stereo seperation.This is a superb album in the most wonderful of conditions. There is ALMOST SILENCE between the tracks. These HEAVY VINYL origional pressings are second to none. This really is a top copy that any collector would be delighted to add to their collection, a real KEEPER . ( the very, very few dust crackles could probably be removed by a professional clean )  ALMOST MINT "FANTASTIC".

THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST TOP 5 ALBUMS ON THIS  LABEL AND GETTING VERY HARD TO FIND IN ANY CONDITION. IT IS RARE IN THIS 'SUPERB' CONDITION.DONT MISS THIS ONE.

REMEMBER! THIS ONE COMES WITH THE VERY FIRST PRESS SUPER RARE FULL A-SIDE SWIRL LABEL!! SO VERY RARE!!
