In recent weeks we have seen Colleges In Folkus appear on eBay (Sold for over £800), the book from the LP (sold for over £200)... we've even seen this album sell for in excess of £400 (we are also currently listing GUITAR INSTRUCTION the middle LP of the three releases)... all super rare private press albums... all now entering the hallowed corridors of mega-rarities... this LP showcased Peter Morton's teaching abilities through a concert by some of his pupils... and has is believed to have been pressed in a quantity of just 100 (or actually 99 copies).

There are some gorgeous songs on this LP and also some more basic performances... Kicking of is Pete who does a poem "The Sparrow" very northern sounding and endearing... Tracks 2 & 3 is Eileen, Margaret, Christine and Barbara (from Rochdale) who sing... Tracks 4 & 5 are Norma and Ernest with Chad, Dave and Jan (Abraham Moss) who sing and play.  And the the last two tracks are Dori, Jean, Geoff and Alan (from Rochdale) who also sing and play.
Side 2, tracks 1 & 2 are Kathy, Bill, Andrew and Dave (from Plant Hill) who sing and play... 3 & 4 are the two Vals who sing and play with Dean and Doug (from the advanced group), and final the last two tracks are by past students Sue and Dave who join Pete Morton to sing and play "Shoals of Herrings" and "Geordie"... the last two tracks being the one probably of most interest to most collectors, but overall a great super rare record.

The label is the same as his other two LPs, plain white.

Super rare item, and a must for you true Deroy collectors... (also, keep checking out our other items, we have several hundred different Deroy items we will be listing over the next few months... but we will space them out to give you a chance to save up a few pennies!)

The Sleeve
Taped along the top and bottom as part of the original construction, plain white with the fronticepiece pasted to the front.

The Disc
Matrix numbers are scratched into the dead wax, with just the side number written on the plain white glossy labels, with centre indent as to be expected

Condition
Both sleeve and disc are in great condition, the sleeve is only just beginning to feel wear along the more delicate taped edges.

Sale Summary
We always ship records securely, packing the freshly cleaned disc outside of the picture sleeve to prevent seam splits, the sleeve will be packaged against new made to measure card and and along with the disc will be housed inside a new plastic sleeve.  This will then be packaged with more new card stiffening in a new made for purpose record mailer.  This is then securely taped and marked fragile.
Insured and recorded delivery is used on parcels of certain values, this is done at our cost.
