Havenstreet (an almost unknown folk / rock band from the 1970s) have recently released a double LP / CD of The End of the Line on the Sommor Records Label.  This general release is currently widely available on e.g. Amazon.

The original vinyl LP was released on the band’s own label: “Rissole Records” as a limited pressing of only 250 copies in 1977.  As a rarity, these items have been selling for around £500 on Ebay, and often much more.

This item is one of the VERY FEW remaining ORIGINAL 1977 vinyls, unplayed and in mint condition on the Rissole Records label.

BUT. . . These last few copies have been signed by all members of the band at a reunion concert in August 2014.

This sale of The End of the Line is your opportunity to collect one of these LAST REMAINING PRESSINGS, personally signed by the band members.

All the tracks are original material, written by mainly three of the band members: Jeff Vinter, Phil Ridgway & Francis Bassett.

The music has been described as being influenced by artists as diverse as Caravan to Peter Hammill (Van Der Graaf Generator) and has a line up including keyboards, saxophone, flute and violin as well as acoustic guitar, bass and percussion.  Using this instrumentation, the band creates a sound that sits between contemporary “folk” and, at times, dreamlike, thoughtful progressive rock with literate, poetic lyrics.

Mutant Sounds describes the LP as an: “Absolutely stunning privately released acid folk LP from the UK. Extremely rare and almost unknown! Great floating flute/guitar acid folk tunes with some jazzy hints here and there. An unknown masterpiece!”

Popsike says: “Rarest and best UK private pressing - only a couple have ever turned up! It was recorded in 1976 and released in early '77.  Only a few copies were pressed up as the band ran out of money. . . .”

Please note that the total Post + Packing cost includes the postage price, extra insurance (compensation if parcel is lost or damaged) & the cost of packaging materials.

 UK:  £9.50 (Royal Mail Special Delivery - includes insurance up to £500)

·         FOR UK DELIVERIES: I post on Monday to Thursday only, in order to ensure next day delivery. Friday postage incurs an additional charge for next day (i.e.Saturday) delivery, Therefore I will not post on Fridays.

·        I aim to post within two working days of receiving cleared payment.

Postage to Europe and the Rest of the World:  The postage service will be one of three options, depending upon the destination in the world: Royal Mail International Tracked, International Signed, and International Tracked & Signed.  The parcel will be sent using ONE of these services, and buyers will be advised which one will be used for their particular country, because they do vary from country to country.  For instance, some countries are able to have parcels sent to them via International Tracked & Signed, while others are only offered International Signed.  Some countries have a combination of 2 of the 3 options.  Wherever possible, parcels will be sent via International Tracked & Signed, if that service is offered for that buyer’s country, to offer the most secure service.  If that option is not available, parcels will be sent either International Tracked or International Signed, depending what is available for that country.  Buyers will therefore be invoiced accordingly with the appropriate postage & packing cost, plus extra insurance, for their country upon winning the auction.
