Description

A Collection of 100 LP's Beatles and John Lennon early presses, Im not a professional record collector so Im selling these 'as is' what I can say is I've had these records for a number of years and they have all been played, all play without any major problems, some are a better standard than others but I think any buyer will be happy with the quality. As I say Im no expert I've collected these records over a number of years I've looked at the record collector grading system and if I were to grade the quality of all the records I would say that all of them would atleast grade as good and some would grade better. What I will do is give a brief description of all the records with matrix numbers for each record so that buyers have an idea of how early the pressing is for each item, please remember that I am not a record collector and all of the information is my own personal opinion:

The Beatles 'Please Please Me' (Mono 1963) Catalogue Number PMC 1202 ,Matrix Numbers XEX 421-1N (Side 1) and XEX 422-1N (Side 2)

The sleeve on this is fairly worn, around the edges quite a lot of the laminate is torn or coming away in places and has a name on the backside of the sleeve, I believe this to be one of the 1st sleeves as the Angus Mcbean credit is to the very far right of the s for 'songs' in the bottom right hand corner of the record. The inner for the record is torn down the right hand side due to record wear.

The Beatles 'A Hard Days Night' (Mono 1964) Catalogue Number PMC 1230, Matrix Numbers XEX 481-3N (Side 1) and XEX 482-3N (Side 2)

The sleeve looks to be in good condition very little wear or discolouration with no tears splits or writing, the inner sleeve also is in good condition with no tears.

The Beatles ' Beatles For Sale'  (Mono 1964) Cataogue Number PMC1240, Matrix Numbers XEX 503-4N (Side 1) and XEX 504-3N (Side 2)

The sleeve looks to be in good condition with some laminate creasing to the front cover and a few bumps to the corners the emitex inner is in good condition.

The Beatles 'Rubber Soul' (Mono 1965) Catalogue number PMC1267, Matrix Numbers XEX 579-4 (Side 1) and XEX 580-4 (Side 2)

The sleeve looks good it shows a fair amount of laminate creasing on the front and a 5mm red pen mark on the back of the sleeve and a small amoujnt of pencil marking also (3 pencil marks are visible next to the track listing) the rear of the sleeve also shows a small amount of discolouration. The original emitex inner has splits to the left and right hand sides.

The Beatles 'Rubber Soul' (Mono 1965) Catalogue number PMC1267, Matrix Numbers XEX 579-1 (Side 1) and XEX 580-4 (Side 2)

The sleeve has a slight amount of laminate creasing on the front cover some discoloration to the rear, the inner has some creasing and a split to the left hand side.

The Beatles 'Revolver' (Mono 1966) Catalogue Number PMC7009, Matrix Numbers XEX 605-2 (Side 1) and XEX 606-2 (Side 2)

The sleeve has some discoloration and laminate creasing and some slight wear on the corners, all in all this looks in good condition. the inner is in good condition with no splits or tears.

The Beatles 'Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band' (Mono 1967) Catalogue Number PMC7029, Matrix Numbers XEX 637-1 (Side 1) and XEX 638-1 (Side 2)

This is probably the best sleeve in the best of the collection with very slight wear, this comes with a complete insert and the original psychedelic red and white inner sleeve which are both showing minmal wear.

The Beatles 'Abbey Road' (Stereo 1970) Catalogue Number PCS 7088, Matrix Numbers XEX 749 -2 (Side 1) and XEX 750-1 (Side 2)

The sleeve is in good condition with a slight amount of laminate creasing and some signs of wear the the corners the sleeve has a split to the right hand side.

John Lennon 'Imagine'  (Stereo 1971) Catalogue number PAS10004, Matrix Numbers YEX855 -1U (Side 1) and YEX866 -1U (Side 2)

The sleeve is in generally good condition but the glue has come away at the top of the front cover giving a 11cm split, this can easily be remedied by regluing the sleeve nd shouldnt be classed as a rip. the spine appears to have 2 small bumps. the inner sleeve has a split to the bottom apart from this both appear to be in good condition.

John Lennon 'Rock 'N' Roll' ( Stereo 1975) Catalogue number PCS 7169, Matrix Numbers YEX943 - 1U (Side 1) and YEX944 - 3U (Side 2)

The sleeve is in good condition with a small amount of wear to the corners and to the spine and a bump at the top of the sleeve,  the inner sleeve is in good condition with some creasing and the glue has worn away slightly at top left and right corners due to record wear.
