Description

This EP was issued in France following Cliff Richard’s initial success as a British Rock ’n Roll star in many parts of the English speaking world.  Apart from the title tune, this selection features 3 excellent performances specially written for the original Drifters by the band’s guitarist, Ian Samwell, and recorded by UK Columbia at EMI’s Abbey Road recording studio with founder band member Terry Smart on drums. In each case, these recordings are both sonically and musically superior to any other recorded British rockabilly at the time and is worth collecting as these recordings were never issued on an EP in the UK.
