Description

Artist:  CLEVELAND EATON

Title:  PLENTY GOOD EATON

Label:  BLACK JAZZ

Catalogue # : BJQD 20

Vinyl/Cover:  VG+ / STRONG VG

First off, my sincere apologies to everyone who put a bid in on this LP during the last auction (that ended Jan 09, 2015 , 10:06PM).  For those who are interested in an explanation of what happened I have provided one at the bottom of this description (see blue writing below).

TRACKS:  Side 1: “CHI-TOWN THEME", "KEENA", "MOE, LET'S HAVE A PARTY", "ARE YOU OUT THERE SOMEWHERE CARING"
Side 2: “KAISER 405", "ALL YOUR LOVER, ALL DAY, ALL NIGHT", "HAMBURG 302"
PERSONNEL:  ED GREEN - VIOLIN & VIOLA; ARTEE "DUKE" PAYNE - TENOR & FLUTE; JOHN WATSON - TROMBONE; ERNEST JOHNSON - GUITAR; KENNETH PRINCE - ELECTRIC PIANO; MORRIS JENNINGS - PERCUSSION; CLEVELAND EATON - ACOUSTIC BASS, ELECTRIC BASS & VOCALS; ODELL BROWN - ORGAN & ELECTRIC PIANO; ARIE BROWN - TENOR; EDWIN DAUGHERTY - TENOR & FLUTE; DERF RAHEEN - CONGA & FLUTE; BOBBY CHRISTIAN - VIBES; STEVE GALLOWAY - BASS TROMBONE

The vinyl is clean and shiny with no significant marks.  It plays nicely.  I did notice that there is a small non-repeating jump/skip at the very end of "Chi-Town Theme" at the very end of the music fade out.

The  cover has some ring/rubwear on the front cover and only minor signs of wear on the back cover (see photos).  The edges show wear, as well.  There is no writing or any stickers or seam splits.

I mail on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Please take a look at my other items; I've got some good stuff up right now and I’m always glad to combine items to save you on shipping.

Feel free to contact me via eBay with any questions.

Good luck!

I noticed during the last 4 hours of bidding of the previous auction that my description said that the record was "VG++/VG++".  This was because I had cut & pasted the description info from a previous auction but somehow overlooked that while making changes.  The correct grade (VG+/VG) was given in the "item specifics" section.  I realized that this is a pretty significant discrepancy that would most likely result in confusion and higher bids based on incorrect information.  So I went to revise the item, but couldn't because the auction had already received several bids.  So then I tried to end the auction, but couldn't for the same reason.  I was able to cancel bids.  I figured once I got rid of the bids, I would be able to end or at least revise the auction.  That was not the case.  So I continued to cancel the bids as they came in with the intention of relisting this record with the proper info and that's what I have done.  I was able to message some bidders to let you know what was going on, but eBay only let's you send so many messages per day so some of you were left in the dark.  Again, I apologize for that and any other confusion or frustrations this has caused.
