THE CLEANERS FROM VENUS - MIDNIGHT CLEANERS (9-TRACK CASSETTE) MAN AT THE OFF-LICENSE TAPES (SELF-RELEASED) - MAO 005 - UK 1982 Super scarce original 1982 cassette-only release by Martin Newell and his band 'The Cleaners From Venus' - superb music including minimal psych powerpop indie punk styles with all tracks mostly by Martin Newell. Black & white cover (only a few were hand-painted, most were b&w) and hand-writrten labels. Received through mail-order at the time. A great original punk & new wave item from the avant-garde and the independent cassette scene of the early '80s in UK, 100% genuine and in very nice condition. CONDITION (I don't use higher than ex/ex) cover: vg+ cassette: vg+ * no problems, just wouldn't use higher than vg+ for these old DIY and poor-quality cassettes, always with minor defects depending on the quality of the equipment too (play-tested with no problems on mine which is average quality).
